Product reviews
Product reviews let customers rate a product they bought from 1 to 5 stars and say what they think. You approve each review before it shows. Approved reviews appear on the product's page with its stars, and shoppers can sort your listings by customer rating.

What you see depends on your role. If the menu, a button or a setting on this page is missing, ask your administrator to give you the permission listed above or to turn on the feature. Only administrators can turn features on and change site settings.
How customers review
At the bottom of a product's page, Customer reviews shows the approved reviews, newest first, and the product's average rating. A signed-in customer who bought the product sees Write a review: they choose their stars, and can add a title, a few words and the name shown with the review. Reviews from buyers are marked Verified purchase.
After sending, the customer is told their review will show once you approve it. They can change it later; a changed review waits for approval again. Each customer has one review per product.
Under the product's price, its stars, average and number of reviews link to the reviews.
Photos
With the Media feature on, buyers can add up to three photos to their review: JPEG, PNG or WebP images of up to 5 MB each. They show with the review, on the product's page and under Commerce > Reviews. New photos replace the ones a review had.
Ask buyers for reviews
Under Settings > Commerce > Reviews, tick Ask buyers for reviews and choose the Days after paying, such as 14. Each order's buyer then gets one email with a link to review each product they bought. Only buyers who said yes to news and offers are asked, and only for orders from the last 60 days. It needs your site's email, its base URL, and Customers.
Approve reviews
Commerce > Reviews lists the reviews waiting for approval, newest first. Each shows the product, who wrote it, the stars, the title and text, and whether it's a verified purchase.
- Approve shows the review on the product and counts it in its rating.
- Reject keeps it off the product.
- Delete removes it.
Use the status filter to see Approved, Rejected or all reviews, and change your mind on any of them.
Ratings in listings
Once a product has an approved review, shoppers can sort a listing by Customer rating: highest first, and listings that choose their filters automatically offer a Customer rating filter with 4 and up, 3 and up and 2 and up. To add them to a listing that has its own filters and sorts, edit the listing and pick Customer rating.
